Gingerstar smiled and looked to the forest. "Where shall we go first?"

She tipped her head ever so slightly as she thought. "Maybe we could go to one of the clearings? I've seen a lot of mice there recently."

"Perfect!" she said, starting to walk towards one section of the trees. She knew a clearing that was just that way, where she too had seen mice and other wildlife. The breeze rippled her fur, though the night was quiet.

Gingerstar now started to bound deeper into the forest until her ears reached a rustling noise above her in the trees. She slowed to a halt and looked up and saw a magpie resting in a low branch. Gingerstar looked at the cats, silently asking who wanted to take it.

The she-cat gestured for Gingerstar to take it, smiling warmly at the leader.

Gingerstar looked surprised but then grinned, nodding her head at the cat. She, very carefully, began scaling the tree as quietly as she could for even the leader's one mis-step could frighten the bird. Gingerstar expertly climbed to the bird's branch and put her weight into the middle of her body. Her claws unsheathed, she leaped as the magpie saw her a milli second too late and the leader returned from the tree, the large bird hanging from her mouth.

Sapphiredreams smiled and moved silently to the base of a nearby tree with a squirrel sitting obliviously on one of the lower branches. She looked back to the group, gesturing silently to the squirrel, aasking who wanted to catch it.

Gingerstar, the bird still in her mouth, did a forward motion with her tail towards Sapphiredreams, gesturing that it was her kill.

Sapphiredreams smiled and stealthily climbed up the tree. When she was just a few branches underneath the squirrel, she leaped. The squirrel noticed her, but not nearly early enough to have a chance of escape. Sapphiredreams leaped back down the tree with her catch in her jaws

Gingerstar, putting her bird down on the ground, said quietly "There's plenty of prey in this part of the forest. Who wants the next kill?" There was a gleam in her eye as she listened to the many sounds of flapping, chattering, knawing and squeaking.

Sapphiredreams dropped her prey as well and shrugged, looking to the other cats
